Destruction as an archive of disappearance..
Destruction inscribes itself onto material memory. Photographs of soon-to-be-demolished structures are printed onto debris from the same sites, merging material and visual records into a single object. More than remnants of destruction, these fragments resist erasure. Drawing on Heideggerian phenomenology, the project considers the afterlife of spaces—how built environments shape perception even in their disappearance. In cities where erasure defines progress, demolition generates meaning rather than simply removing it.
