Installation on Billboard in Hamra, Beirut
Destruction as an archive of disappearance..
Rent Acts 159/92, 160/92 examines the architectural consequences of Lebanon’s post-war rent control laws. Focusing on shopfronts frozen under decades-old leases, the work frames architecture as legal document, where policy becomes spatial. Presented as a public billboard collage, the project overlays images of facades with excerpts from the legislative text, creating a visual archive of stasis, endurance, and civic negotiation.
